The wave rises up and breaks over him.
Pulses spread through his body.
He shivers and convulses with a start.
His entire body tightens.
Fingers involuntarily clench inward.
Nails etch tiny lines into his palms.
And then. It passes.
And then. He can put
it back away.
Tucked beneath.
